About the job:

As a kayak guide for Nordic Paddling, you will mainly be guiding our multi-day trips and day tours. With the right qualification, you can also teach our introduction- and foundation courses. Most of the time you will work alone or with 1-2 other guides. You will have an influence on how the trips are run, with room for personal guiding style. You will get industry competitive salary, and access to our multiple outfitter deals on kayaking gear and outdoor equipment. We can also help sort out accommodation for you throughout the season.

Your tasks will be:

• Guest transfers
• Trip preparation including shopping food, packing equipment and kayaks. 
• Teaching and guiding guests
• Cooking during the trip
• Taking photos
• Clean up / repair equipment after trips.
• Other practical operational tasks.

We expect you have:

• Minimum 3-star qualification or equivalent experience, e.g. IPP3/BC3*/EPP3
• Minimum 1 year of relevant outdoor education
• Valid first aid certification (12 hours)
• Valid driving license class B (for atleast two years)
• Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English

• Prior experience with guiding
• Likes to teach/guide in nature
• Good outdoor cooking skills
• Can work under pressure
• Strong independence
• Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Customer-focused and service-minded
• Always looking for improvement and high quality
• 3-star qualification or equivalent experience, e.g. IPP3/BC3*/EPP3
• Norwegian “Kjøreseddel” (passenger transport certification)
