- DNT Lysefjorden: Lysefjorden tourist cabin is the perfect starting point for experiencing Kjerag, Lysebotn and Lysefjorden. The cabin is situated 50 meters from the fjord in Lysebotn in Ryfylke. DNT Stavanger offers rooms with private bathroom or a bed in the dormitory.
Camping spots in Lysefjord
- Dørvika: Located inside Lysefjord, Dørvika is one of the first campgrounds accessible after entering the fjord. It’s very basic and features a public toilet, plenty of space, and a small fire cabin. Dørvika is the ideal first night camping spot after entering the fjord.
- Flørli: Flørli is located about 20km further into the fjord from Dørvika and is an ideal place for an overnight trip. You won’t be wildcamping in this spot, but for a small fee you will be able to put up your tent and enjoy a hot shower. Flørli 4444 also offer equipment rental of tents, stoves and sleeping bags.
- Håhelleren: Past Flørli you’ll eventually get to one of the most idyllic camp spots in the entire fjord, Håhelleren. Only accessible by boat this idyllic location is a dream spot for kayakers. Håhelleren has a old wooden barn, grazing sheep and an outdoor latrine.
- Lysebotn: At the bottom of the fjord you’ll find Lysebotn. Apart from staying at the cabins the only real camping option is the Visit Kjerag campground. For a small fee you’ll get access to toilet, shower, cooking station with stoves, BBQ grill and easy access to the pub.
