About Winter Kayaking on Lysefjord

Paddle your way deeper into the fjord, passing by stunning mountains, frozen waterfalls, and the occasional glimpse of local wildlife. Feel the invigorating chill of the winter air and take in the serene beauty of the snow-covered landscape.

As we glide along the frozen surface of the fjord, we may spot some of the region’s unique wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for seals and sea eagles.

Our guide will provide you with all the kayaking equipment you need, including a double kayak, paddle, vest, neoprene boots, neoprene gloves, and a dry-suit. You’ll also enjoy a hot chocolate break during the paddle to warm up and refuel.

To ensure you’re comfortable throughout the adventure, we recommend bringing long underwear, preferably wool, to wear under the paddling gear. A thick pair of socks will also keep your feet warm, and don’t forget to bring snacks and water. If your hands tend to get cold, hand warmers are a great option.

Get ready to embrace the magic of winter in Lysefjord and create unforgettable memories. This is an adventure you won’t want to miss!
